School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Jersey City, New Jersey

$29.11 - $49.11 / hour

Bring your nursing expertise to a dynamic school environment near Jersey City, NJ! We are seeking dedicated LPNs, LVNs, or RNs to provide vital care and support for a 7th-grade student in a full-time, onsite contract role. This opportunity offers a consistent daytime schedule—Monday through Friday, 8:45 am to 2 pm—with immediate start through June 22, 2026, and the possibility to continue in the 2026-2027 school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a 1:1 relationship with a male 7th-grade student, providing attentive and compassionate care throughout the school day
  • Ride the school bus daily, ensuring safe transport and ongoing medical supervision
  • Manage and administer seizure care, monitor respiratory status, and respond to potential asthma incidents
  • Provide G-tube feedings as prescribed, catheterizations, and assistance with toileting and diapering
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare teams to ensure a positive, healthy school experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active LPN, LVN, or RN license in New Jersey
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric nursing setting strongly preferred
  • Skilled in seizure care, asthma management, G-tube feedings, and catheterizations
  • Comfortable with toileting, diapering, and personal care tasks for adolescents
  • Ability to work cooperatively with students, families, and school staff
  • Strong communication skills and compassionate patient rapport
