LPN - School in Paterson, NJ

Make a meaningful impact in a school-based contract position supporting a student’s health and well-being. This full-time opportunity (30-32 hours per week) is available for immediate start and extends through June 2026, with the potential to continue during the 2026-2027 school year. The role is onsite, following regular school hours from 8:45 am to 2:00 pm, providing an ideal balance for professionals seeking steady daytime work.

As a licensed nurse, you will work 1:1 with a male 7th grade student, helping him access his education by managing complex medical needs throughout the school day—including while riding the bus. Your expertise will offer invaluable support to both the student and school community.

Key Qualifications:

• Current LPN, LVN, or RN licensure in the state
• Previous experience in school or pediatric nursing preferred
• Proven ability to provide care for students with chronic conditions, particularly asthma
• Skilled in g-tube feedings, catheterization, toileting, and assistance with diapering
• Demonstrated experience with seizure care and emergency response protocols
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Compassion, patience, and a positive, student-centered approach

Primary Duties:

• Provide direct, individualized care to a 7th grade male student during on-campus activities and transit (bus riding required)
• Monitor and manage asthma, g-tube feedings, seizure protocols, catheterization, and toileting needs
• Support student’s safety, comfort, and dignity throughout daily routines
• Document interventions and communicate updates to school staff and guardians as necessary
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and nursing best practices
