Principal Accountabilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; and using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.
Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.

Pediatric Unit Manager (RN) Full-Time | Evening & Night Shifts Available Ditmas Children’s Nursing & Rehab Ditmas Children’s Nursing & Rehab is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Unit Manager (RN) to lead and support our nursing team while delivering high-quality, individualized care to our pediatric residents. The Unit Manager is responsible for promoting and restoring patients’ health through the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, and providing physical and emotional support to patients and their families. This role reports directly to the Clinical Manager of the assigned department. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage daily nursing activities within the assigned unit Deliver direct patient care as needed Administer medications and intravenous fluids as ordered by physicians Provide wound care and other prescribed treatments Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and patient responses to treatment Operate oxygen equipment, spirometers, and other diagnostic tools Interpret patient information and assist in clinical decision-making Collaborate with physicians and supervisors to determine appropriate treatment plans Supervise and support Nurses, Nurse Assistants, and Nurse Aides Ensure compliance with established nursing standards, policies, and regulations Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience may be considered Licensure: Current New York State RN license (required) Experience & Skills: Previous long-term care experience preferred Strong clinical judgment and investigative skills Ability to work independently and provide leadership Excellent written and verbal communication skills Schedule Full-Time 8-hour shifts Evening Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Monday through Friday with every other weekend Compensation & Benefits Compensation: $60 – $71 per hour (competitive, based on experience) Benefits Include: 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off If you are a compassionate and skilled Pediatric RN leader seeking an enriching opportunity to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply.
