The Opportunity

We are seeking motivated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to serve as an independent contractor in a 1099 position.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver medications and treatments along with supervision of Medication Aids where applicable

  • Monitor resident conditions and respond quickly to changes, ensuring safety, comfort, and continuity of care.

  • Support activities of daily living

  • Maintain clear, timely documentation

  • Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary teams and families

  • Adhere to infection control and safety standards to protect your residents and your teammates.

  • Other duties as assigned

What You Must Have

  • Active LPN license in good standing in the state of practice.

  • Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred but not required—we’ll invest in the right heart and mindset.

This position must integrate company values into daily practice. Essential Functions: Provides skilled nursing care to patients as ordered by the physician and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Implements orders for medications and treatments as ordered by the physician and in accordance with nursing care plan as written by the RN. Provides information to the Registered Nurse to assist in the development of an individualized plan of care for each patient. Participates in evaluation of the effectiveness of interventions in relation to patient responses and seeks guidance in redirection when necessary. Reports to supervisor on patient care rendered, problems concerning patients’ needs, and resolution to those needs. Helps identify patient problems and potential risks and contributes to the development of interventions. Assists in identification of patient’s learning needs and reinforces self-care and other techniques. Appropriately designates applicable charges to individual patients using the hospital’s established system. May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies. Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards. Maintains regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule. Minimum Job Requirements Minimum Education & Experience : Two years’ experience in inpatient hospital setting, inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred. Required Licenses, Certifications, and/or Documentation: Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse required. Current BLS certification required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of and adherence to current nursing theory and practice and infection prevention standards of practice. Knowledge of accreditation standards to ensure adherence to all standards set forth by state and accrediting agencies of TJC and CMS.
