Greenfield Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest quality of care for our residents.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various healthcare settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, and acute care.
This leadership role requires a deep understanding of nursing administration, management practices, and regulatory compliance. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing nursing operations, developing care plans, and ensuring adherence to medical standards and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursing staff to provide exceptional patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate resident care plans based on individual needs and preferences.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records.
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee documentation review to ensure accuracy in medical records and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and improve overall quality of care.
- Manage shift schedules effectively to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
- Maintain knowledge of current medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and Medicare regulations relevant to nursing practices.
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient management of patient information and documentation processes.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on best practices in nursing care management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience with a focus on assisted living or nursing home settings.
- Proven leadership experience in nurse management or nursing administration roles.
- Strong knowledge of MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and care planning processes.
- Familiarity with home health and hospice care practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals at all levels.
- Proficient in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management.
