Graduate from an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of agency operation.
One (1) year experience as a RN.

Required Certifications and Licensures:

Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of agency operation.
Must possess and maintain valid CPR certification while employed in a clinical role.
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order. Ability to travel to all business locations.

Registered Nurse - OR Circulator PRN

Job Summary: Directs and/or provides professional perioperative nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care. Provides supervision and guidance to other members of the operating room staff; and may be authorized, in the absence of the Director of the Operating Room, to make decisions affecting the operating of the surgical suite. Serves as a professional and technical subject matter expert for at least two surgical services. Demonstrates the abilities and willingness to float to other patient care areas (Pre-op, PACU) and Central Sterile Department to enhance organizational efficiency. The Registered Nurse Circulator works shifts as assigned by the Department Head. Weekday, weekend and holiday call are assigned on a rotating basis. May occasionally work past assigned shift due to extenuating circumstances related to the care and safety of a patient(s). May be assigned additional duties within scope of practice, including but not limited to central sterile duties. Physical Requirements: May be expected to lift up to 50 pounds or up to 150 pounds with assistance. May be expected to push or pull 500 pounds with assistance. Work is of medium demand; walking or standing most of the time while on duty. Visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential to performing designated duties required. Optimal auditory acuity required. Manual dexterity involving the handling of equipment and instruments or armamentarium is essential to performing assigned duties. Physical conditions are clean, neat and well-lit. May be subjected to unpleasant sights and odors, stressful situations and hazardous or infectious agents where judgment as to precautions needed to be taken is essential. Climate control and ambient temperature variances may be experienced and required by patient care and needs of the surgical team.
