OR RN Position Summary TidalHealth Peninsula Regional has six specialty teams including General Surgery, GYN/Urology/ Plastics, Orthopedics/Podiatry, Neurosurgery, Eyes/ENT and Cardiothoracic. The night shift is also a team but their focus is on trauma and urgent/emergent procedures in all specialties. The OR RN is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. The OR RN acts as a patient advocate. The OR RN provides support, information and direct care and utilizes equipment and technology skillfully and is technically competent in nursing procedures. The OR Registered Nurse educates patients and families on significant self-care issues. The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications may be required. OR RN Position Requirements Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse. Must hold a license in the state of permanent residency. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Complete AORN’s Periop 101 class upon hire OR RN Work Schedule May be assigned to day, evening, or night shifts or a combination per departmental policy. Scheduled off at least three holidays per year. Required to work weekends per unit need. Expected to work overtime on occasion. SANE RN Position Summary A SANE, or a sexual assault nurse examiner, is a registered nurse who possesses the specialized training, education and certification necessary to provide medical treatment to survivors of abuse, neglect, violence or sexual assault. The primary goal of a SANE nurse is to provide holistic, compassionate care to survivors through a standardized course of examination, assessment, testing and treatment. The SANE nurse may serve as advocates for survivors and provide expert medical testimony in court if called upon by legal professionals. SANE RN Position Requirements Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse. Must hold a license in the state of permanent residency. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) PALS and ACLS required within 6 months of hire A minimum of one years experience as an Emergency Department RN. SANE RN Work Schedule May be assigned to day, evening, or night shifts or a combination per departmental policy. Scheduled off at least three holidays per year. Oncology RN Position Summary Oncology patients often experience hospital readmissions during their journey. This position provides the unique opportunity to connect with patients and their loved ones while impacting their outcomes.The Oncology RN provides oncology and hematology care for inpatients, and they also provide transfusion services for outpatients. This position provides the opportunity to learn and administer oral and IV chemotherapy and immotherapy medications. The oncology RN also provides supportive, palliative, and hospice care to a vulnerable population of patients.
