Evernorth Workplace Care - Personalized Care Where You Are

Position Summary:  

  • Provide Primary Care treatment in a Workplace-based setting
  • Episodic care (low acuity Urgent Care)
  • Extended Episodic Acute Care which can include 4-5 visits for an illness or injury that is limited in its chronicity
  • Chronic condition education and co-management with outside primary care if EWC is not the PCP
  • Ability to oversee and perform CLIA waived tests, dispense Rx medications, and oversee a specimen collection lab
  • Collaboration with onsite employees to provide biometric screening and health and wellness education
  • Potential for Travel Medicine recommendation and immunizations or administration of allergen immunotherapy (with proper training)
  • Direct one on one health coaching to employees along with referring patients into wellness programs
  • Partner with local HR/Benefits team to improve employee health
  • Partner closely with, and potentially oversees, members of the health care team (MA, LPN, etc.)

Clinical Requirements:

  • Graduate of Certified NP program
  • Active and unrestricted NP license required in respective state, and ability to maintain
  • Minimum of 2 or more years of NP experience, working independently in an internal medicine or family practice setting 
  • Ability to practice independently in respective state
  • May be asked to obtain licensure in additional states
  • DEA licensure and prescriptive authority and ability to maintain
  • Strong primary care experience including women’s health
  • Chronic Disease Management experience is preferred
  • Electronic Health Record experience: EPIC experience is a plus
  • BLS certification and ability to maintain current certification
  • Phlebotomy experience is a plus

Non-Clinical Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including internal and external customers and group settings
  • Passionate about overall health and wellness and patient education
  • High energy and strong customer-centric focus
  • Ability to work clinic hours
  • Solid attendance record
  • Strong time management skills
  • Additional language skills such as Spanish are a plus
  • Supervisory experience (indirect or direct) is preferred

This is a per diem Family Nurse Practitioner role, and will provide as needed coverage in our health centers in Towson MD, Washington DC and Arlington VA.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 51 - 85 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.

Reviews the health assessment completed by nursing staff, obtains a past and current medical history, and conducts a focused physical examination as indicated, according to established guidelines. Initiates contact with Primary Care Physicians and Emergency Room clinicians according to established guidelines. Assesses individual's needs and guides the clinical team while managing treatment plan updates, in addition to initiating contact with Outpatient Behavioral Health Provider according to established guidelines. Reviews and utilizes all available documents from the crisis clinical team. Provides necessary information to clinical team regarding inpatient utilization. Utilizes appropriate medication based on best practices. Collaborates with other personnel to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the individual in addition to working with outside psychiatric providers in crisis and inpatient services. Works with the community to review involuntary petitions, assess involuntary patients, and coordinate with the legal system to follow established guidelines for Involuntary Evaluation and Treatment. Participates in medical staff meetings including regional and quarterly meetings; participates in all required meetings; and participates in any meeting as requested by Medical Leadership. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications What You'll Bring: Nurse Practitioner Unrestricted Registered Nursing license in the State of Virginia or hold multistate license. Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master’s level certification in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the Virginia Joint Boards of Nursing and Medicine Licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing and National Certifications Unrestricted DEA license and registered with the Virginia Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) Must have current DEA registration that includes Schedule III authority Physician Assistant: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Doctorate of Nursing Practice. Experience working in addiction treatment and recovery Experience in the delivery of crisis mental health and/or delivery of family health treatment to children, adolescents, and/or adults. Physician Assistant: DEA X license. Experience working in addiction recovery. Experience in the delivery of crisis mental health and/or delivery of family health treatment to children, adolescents, and/or adults.
