Clinical RN Supervisor – Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Location: Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, ME
Full-time | Nights | 8-Hour Shifts
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) provides clinical leadership, administrative oversight, and operational support for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Collaborates with the Director/Manager to ensure safe, high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient departmental operations. Assumes administrative responsibility in the absence of leadership and supports staff supervision, patient care coordination, and performance improvement.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, direct, and evaluate Cath Lab nursing staff during assigned shifts
- Support unit operations, staffing, workflow, and resource management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations (CMS, Joint Commission)
- Lead performance improvement initiatives, staff education, and orientation
- Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams
- Assess patient care needs and guide staff in care plan implementation
- Support cardiac procedures (diagnostic/interventional caths, PCI) as needed
- Provide direct patient care within RN scope of practice
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
