What you’ll do
Lead clinical excellence
You’ll set the tone for safe, high-quality, patient-centered care—ensuring your team delivers evidence-based, culturally competent care across the full spectrum of obstetrical services.
Be the expert your team relies on
Serve as a clinical resource and step in when needed. You’ll validate competencies, coach staff, and maintain a strong presence on the unit.
Drive quality and safety
Monitor outcomes, identify risks, and implement improvements that elevate both patient care and team performance.
Build strong physician partnerships
Collaborate closely with providers to advance care practices, address concerns quickly, and support a culture of trust and accountability.
Lead and develop your team
From hiring and onboarding to coaching and retention, you’ll create an environment where nurses feel supported, challenged, and valued.
Own operational performance
Manage staffing, productivity, and budget expectations while balancing quality care and efficiency.
Engage beyond the unit
Represent Riverside in the community and support initiatives that improve the health of the populations we serve.
What you bring
- RN with a BSN required (MSN or higher preferred)
- 2+ years of obstetrical nursing experience (inpatient or outpatient)
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to lead in high-acuity situations
- A collaborative, approachable leadership style that builds trust
Licensure & Certifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state)
- Specialty certifications (EFM, Inpatient OB, etc.) preferred
