Summary GENERAL SUMMARY The Office RN - Specialty Procedures works in collaboration with physicians and other health care team members to facilitate optimal outcomes for patients undergoing outpatient specialty procedures. Collaborates with the physician to provide developmentally appropriate patient care using the nursing process, and applies knowledge, skill and critical thinking necessary to support and provide services to patients requiring and undergoing specialty procedures within scope of practice. Reports to departmental management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides staff, patient, and family education and support based on identification of specialty disorders. Arranges insurance pre-certification for a variety of outpatient procedures and supports procedure scheduling processes. Coordinates and assists with pre, intra and post specialty procedures. Meets and maintains state licensure, certification and/or educational requirements as a Nurse Practitioner. 3 - 5 years of pediatric experience preferred.
