Responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you are on the front lines of patient care:

Direct Support: Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding with dignity.
Clinical Observation: Measure vital signs, record intake/output, and monitor for changes in condition.
Resident Safety: Promptly answer calls and assist with mobility, including turning and repositioning to prevent pressure sores.
Environment: Maintain clean, safe, and organized living conditions for all residents.
Documentation: Ensure all reports and electronic records are completed accurately and in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

License: Must possess an active Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Certification: Current CPR certification (American Heart Association) and High School Diploma/GED.
Skills: Basic computer knowledge and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
