Positions Details

Location: Winter Haven Hospital - CV ICU - Winter Haven, Florida
Status: Pool - as needed
Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
2 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
On Call: No
Always in person

Requirements

RN (Registered Nurse) License
Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
18-month's experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

The Pool Registered Nurse – ICU responsibilities and skills:

Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
Professional accountability and development

Home Training Registered Nurse

Job Requirements The Home Training Registered Nurse evaluates, trains, and provides support to the dialysis facility’s home patients, care partners, and families. This position exercises knowledge of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere that allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment. The position must demonstrate familiarity with dialysis procedures and the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to assume the responsibility of caring for the dialysis patient. Additional three (3) months of experience in the specific modality unless otherwise specified in specific state regulations. Previous supervisory and teaching experience preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current CPR Certification Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
