Full Time - Nurse Practitioner 
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing medical therapeutic services to both out-patient and in-patient clients.  Nurse Practitioners are an integral part of the clinical team and will coordinate with other substance abuse treatment professionals to determine the best course of treatment for each individual client.

  • Provide thorough assessment and evaluation of client to determine best course of treatment relevant to the medical assessments.
  • Work with other members of the clinical team to develop and implement an individualized treatment plan.
  • Provide assistance or institute therapeutic intervention when needed, including referrals to appropriate emergency facilities.
  • Provide consultation with staff related to client treatment, as needed to aid in successful outcomes.
  • Keep abreast of developments in theory and research.
  • Participate in assessing community and agency’s needs in the area of diagnosis and treatment.
  • Must be available for on-call coverage.
  • Any other related tasks that are assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher.
  • Must be licensed in the state of West Virginia.
  • Must possess SAMSHA Suboxone waiver.
  • AANP and/or ANCC certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, email and EHR systems.
  • Attention to detail and completeness of all clinical notes and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Cardiac ICU

Job Description UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital is recognized throughout the world as a leader in health care, known for innovation, technology and compassionate care. Our 180-bed UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital has more than 150 specialists in more than 40 areas of medicine. The Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) is an 18 bed unit that specializes in the care of children with complex congenital cardiac disease. Surgical procedures include repair of congenital heart defects and permanent pacemaker insertion. Medical interventions include management of acute/chronic heart failure, septic shock, renal and respiratory failure. Critically ill children are cared for with such treatment modalities as mechanical ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, ventricular assist devices, temporary pacemaker therapy, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy and acute hemodialysis. The Nurse Practitioner will act as a full member of the team taking responsibility for the safe delivery of care in collaboration with attending physicians, fellows and residents. This team member will meet productivity expectations as set forth by the Division Chief, performing any duties related to patient care activities that are appropriate and clearly delineated. Responsibilities Function % of time Duties Inpatient - Direct Patient Care (may include some or all of the responsibilities listed) 70 Independently (independent APP encounter) or collaboratively (shared physician and APP encounter) evaluates and manages patients.
