Job Summary:
Complete Care at Berkshire is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Infection Preventionist to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. As a critical member of our nursing leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective infection prevention strategies to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff. Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Conduct regular surveillance and monitoring of infection rates, identifying trends and developing strategies to reduce the spread of infections
Collaborate with the Infection Prevention Committee to develop and implement evidence-based infection prevention and control practices
Provide education and training to nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals on infection prevention and control best practices
Conduct investigations and incident reports related to infections and outbreaks, developing corrective actions and implementing improvements
Maintain accurate records and documentation of infection prevention and control activities, including surveillance, monitoring, and education
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection prevention-related projects
Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in infection prevention and control
Requirements:
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Infection Preventionist certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control principles, practices, and regulations
Proven experience in infection prevention and control, with a strong background in epidemiology and surveillance
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop evidence-based recommendations
