Nemours Children’s Health Florida is seeking a full time Neonatal Advance Practice Providers to staff the Level II NICU at HCA Florida Capital Hospital in beautiful Tallahassee. Local candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include rounding with Nemours Neonatologists on NICU patients, well babies and attending high risk deliveries. The level II NICU is staffed with 24/7 in house Nemours Advance Practice Providers with Neonatologists who round and take call from home. Capital has a 10 bed, level II NICU and supports approximately 1,000+ deliveries per year.

Essential Functions

Manages and provides care for the patient requiring neonatal intensive care utilizing collaborative consultation with team members, under the direction and supervision (but not necessarily the direct attendance) of an attending neonatologist.
Conducts parent interviews and takes family history.
Collaborates with neonatologists concerning pertinent historical events, physical findings, diagnostic and therapeutic measures initiated on all admissions.
Orders appropriate laboratory tests and procedures.
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures necessary and appropriate for the care of the patient.
Reviews and provides general care items involved in neonatal care, such as temperature stabilization, hyperalimentation therapy, feeding management, and phototherapy.
Participates in daily rounds in NICU.
Rotating shifts required

Qualifications

Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation. Active license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Florida

Active Florida Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure with Neonatal National Certification
Current AHA BLS

This APRN/PA will function independently and collaboratively to provide specialty medical care for patients from 0 through 20 years participating in Clinical Research Trials. This position is Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00pm with no nights or weekends. The incumbent will coordinate, implement and complete clinical research studies or clinical trials by assisting with IRB submissions, assisting in regulatory document preparation and collection, in-servicing research teams, recruiting study participants, obtaining parental permission/assent, educating parents/participants, scheduling and conducting study procedures/examinations, collecting and recording study data, maintaining study records, interfacing with study sponsors, participation in sponsor study monitoring visits. Excellent written, phone, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Advanced Practice Provider - Perinatal Program

Job Description Nemours is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Nemours Children’s Perinatal Program in Wilmington, DE. The Nemours Fetal Care Center and Advanced Delivery Unit are expanding the scope of service to include comprehensive prenatal, obstetrical and postpartum care for women whose unborn child has been diagnosed with a birth defect or complex medical condition that will require immediate multidisciplinary pediatric care in the neonatal period. In addition to currently available prenatal imaging to diagnose these conditions, we are also expanding invasive diagnostics and fetal intervention procedures. The NFCC-APP will work with the Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians, Obstetricians and the entire multidisciplinary team to provide full scope maternal care including prenatal care, postpartum care, inpatient care, assist in fetal procedures in the outpatient setting and in the operating room, and assessment of fetal well-being. In this role, the qualified NFCC-APP will play an integral role in the care and support of these patients throughout their high-risk pregnancy journey into the postpartum period.
