Job Description

Nemours Children’s Health Pensacola is seeking a casual Neurology Advanced Practice Providers to help staff at the Emerald Coast location of Studer Family Children's Hospital.

Essential Functions

Manages and provides care for the patient requiring Neurology care utilizing collaborative consultation with team members, under the direction and supervision (but not necessarily the direct attendance) of an attending Neurologist.
Conducts parent interviews and takes family history.
Collaborates with Neurologist concerning pertinent historical events, physical findings, diagnostic and therapeutic measures initiated on all admissions.
Orders appropriate laboratory tests and procedures.
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures necessary and appropriate for the care of the patient.
Participates in meeting goals of the department.
Completes timely documentation as required by departmental policy and Nemours standards.
Participates in daily rounds.

Qualifications

Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation. Active license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Florida

Active Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure/Physician Assistant Licensure, with or without prescriptive authority
Current AHA BLS

Advanced Practice Provider - Perinatal Program

The Nemours Fetal Care Center and Advanced Delivery Unit are expanding the scope of service to include comprehensive prenatal, obstetrical and postpartum care for women whose unborn child has been diagnosed with a birth defect or complex medical condition that will require immediate multidisciplinary pediatric care in the neonatal period. In addition to currently available prenatal imaging to diagnose these conditions, we are also expanding invasive diagnostics and fetal intervention procedures. The NFCC-APP will work with the Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians, Obstetricians and the entire multidisciplinary team to provide full scope maternal care including prenatal care, postpartum care, inpatient care, assist in fetal procedures in the outpatient setting and in the operating room, and assessment of fetal well-being. In this role, the qualified NFCC-APP will play an integral role in the care and support of these patients throughout their high-risk pregnancy journey into the postpartum period.
