The unit will care for a diverse trauma patient population with complex needs. This unit will initially serve a step-down patient population before transitioning to its long-term role as a dedicated Trauma Step-Down Nursing Floor. As the Nurse Manager, you will build and lead the nursing team from the ground up, recruiting and developing nurses with a passion for trauma, progressive care, and higher-acuity inpatient nursing. You will establish the unit's culture, workflows, and operational expectations while creating a collaborative environment focused on exceptional patient outcomes. Working closely with trauma physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary partners, you will help define the trauma step-down care model and participate in planning the continued expansion of trauma services. You will also play a key role in coordinating care across the Trauma ICU, the Trauma Regular Nursing Floor, and other areas of the trauma program to ensure seamless patient transitions throughout the continuum of care.
