What You Should Know About the Practice Manager II:

  • Monday- Friday: Typical hours 8:00- 4:30. No weekends or call.

Job Summary:

The Practice Manager II is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team in the clinical and administrative aspects of a single or multiple specialty practices. Day to day responsibilities include areas such as financial stewardship, staff management, leadership, process improvement, policy adherence, compliance, and meeting key performance indicators. This position works directly with the Practice Operation Manager in identifying and recommending changes in the practice.

 Practice complexity is used to determine practice management level: PM 1, PM 2. Complexity is measured by number of providers, number of staff, inpatient and outpatient number of visit, etc. This level can be changed at any time due to data matrix.

 Practice Manager II Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree: Allied Health, Nursing, Healthcare Admin, or other related field preferred.
  • BLS/CPR required if clinical.
  • If clinical, this position is a safety sensitive position.*
  • Minimum Requirements
    1. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and active listening.
    2. Advanced computer skills with experience in MS office.
    3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    4. Can prioritize, delegate, and organize their schedules and task.
  • Preferred Requirements
    1. Project management or people management experience or verifiable progressive responsibility in a customer service or healthcare setting OR
    2. Previous experience in outpatient clinic setting preferably in healthcare management or business admin
    3. Previous experience in healthcare setting from areas including management, revenue cycle, regulatory compliance or from a clinical profession
