The DON is supported by 2 ADON's, 2 Resident Care Coordinators, and a scheduler!   Additionally, you have a hands-on Nurse Consultant to bounce ideas off of and to help with your orientation, training, and meeting key performance metrics.  Our team of department heads assist with the development of interdisciplinary plans of care.  We want you to have a work life balance while you are the Director of Nursing.  

Our beautiful and spacious facility has ALL private rooms and bathrooms which are wonderful for our residents and provide an added layer of infection control security. Our Director of Nursing is responsible to plan, organize, develop, direct and delegate (as appropriate) the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and facility policies. The objective is to ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Minimum of one (1) year nursing administration experience.
  • Must possess current CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with customers, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with personnel.
  • Must be personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.
  • Must be willing to assist with passing medications and assist with the nursing schedule as needed.
