Position Overview:

The General Manager of Assisted Living is responsible for overseeing the overall operations and ensuring the highest quality of care for residents. This role involves managing the staff, coordinating with healthcare providers, and implementing care plans that meet the individual needs of residents. The General Manager will also ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe and supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Oversee the staff and be responsible for their training, coaching, development, and corrective action as needed.
Assume responsibility of the community and send daily census.
Assist in preparing budget for the department as part of the administer approved budget.
Direct and delegate management of professional and ancillary staff members
Coordinate activities of various units/wings promoting and maintaining harmonious
relationships among personnel and with staff, residents, and the public; screen client's prior admission to ensure the center can provide services.
Analyze and evaluate services rendered to improve quality of resident care and plan better utilization of team member time and activities.
Ensure positive outcomes are accomplished for residents; responsible to develop systems and work schedules that respect resident’s lifestyle and ensure the resident reaches the highest attainable level of functioning; make rounds at least daily; follow up daily on each shift to ensure changes in status are reported and recorded.
Ensure new team members are effectively oriented; ensure an ongoing educational program is in place.
Develop goals and objectives for the department; motivate and manage team members to accomplish the same.
Monitor daily labor hours with awareness of budgeted labor hours to maintain profitability.
Monitor and fill openings to ensure adequate staffing is maintained once the monthly
Perform other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
At least three years of experience in a management role within an assisted living or long-term care environment.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in senior care.
Must have at least two years of supervisory experience
