  • Evening - $3.00/hour

Premiums:

  • Standby - $4.00/hour
  • Charge - $3.25/hour
  • Float - $2.50/hour
  • Per Diem - 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
  • Certification - $2.00/hour
  • Preceptor - $2.00/hour
  • San Exam - $500.00

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the OMC Short Stay Unit.   Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing. Sees patients under a variety of circumstances. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. May handle emergency or crisis situations.

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, required.

EXPERIENCE

  • One year experience in a hospital setting, preferred. 

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS

  • Current Washington State RN license, required.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), required.

This position maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting, demonstrates the values contained in the OMC and Nursing Department mission and philosophy statements, and supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing and OMC. EDUCATION Graduate from accredited school of nursing required. EXPERIENCE Minimum of two years’ experience in a hospital setting with emergency and/or ICU experience required. PACU/Recovery/Surgical experience preferred. LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS Washington State RN license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 6 months of hire. National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 60 days of hire.
