Degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
Current State Registered Nurse License.
Current CPR

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Successful completion of accredited Registered Nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
Current state license as a Registered Nurse required.
Current CPR Certification required.
One (1) year recent experience preferred. Acute care setting preferred.
ACLS certification preferred in LTACH and Texas hospitals.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

Knowledge of and adherence to current nursing theory and practice, infection control, and wound care standards of practice.
Knowledge of accreditation standards to ensure adherence to all standards set forth by state and accrediting agencies of TJC and CMS.
Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures, and utilizes proper policies, procedures, and guidelines in caring for patients.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within assigned unit. The role is also responsible for patient assessments, planning, supervising, interventions, and evaluations designed to prevent complications of physical disability, restore optimal functioning, and help the patient adapt to an altered life style. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.

Job Summary and Qualifications As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in the immediate post-operative care of surgical patients. Your responsibilities will include managing airway support, closely monitoring neurological and cardiac status, and responding promptly to any complications or side effects. You will provide initial wound care to the patients’ surgical site and ensure patient stability during recovery. You will collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team. This role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours which will be discussed in the interview. As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will contribute to our success. Here is some of what you can expect from being a PACU Registered Nurse with us: You will oversee and direct the care of the post surgical /post procedural patient . You will bring your specialized skills to serve specific age groups, which may include adult, adolescent, geriatric, or pediatric populations . You may rotate to areas other than your assigned service area/s, and you will perform only those duties for which you have demonstrated competency . You will oversee and direct the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients . What qualifications you will need: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license . Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. ACLS & PALS Certifications . Graduate from an accredited school of nursing . BSN Preferred. Minimum of one (1) year experience required . P ACU, Ambulatory, Critical Care or ED experience preferred.
