Department Highlights
- Team Oriented Practice
- No weekends or holidays
- Good Work Life Balance
- High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
- Completion of an approved NCT Training Program (REQUIRED)
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology (PREFERRED)
- Two years of Orthopedic experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
- One year Medical Assistant experience (REQUIRED)
- NCT registered by the Texas Medical Board and CMA certification upon hire (REQUIRED)
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and protects patients, self and other staff from radiation hazards
- Take X-Rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, which involves setting up and operating radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients
- Select proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis and adjusts and sets radiologic controls
- Perform quantity and quality control checks to assure X-Ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules and department policies
- Obtain and record vital signs including, but not limited to: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem
