Indiana University Health Jay is a rural critical access hospital with a 11 bed Emergency Department. We provide care for infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. In 2023, we opened a new space that now houses our SANE program. We have exceeded our patient satisfaction goals in 2023. We are continuing to grow and are adding advance practice provider to our staffing along with an additional nurse.  Developing as a nurse is important to us and we had multiple team members present podium and poster presentations at national conferences. Indiana University Health recently became a Pathway to Excellence Designed Hospital.

Qualifications 

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Ball Memorial’s adult oncology progressive care unit is a 25-bed unit specializes in the care of hospice/end of life care, cancer patients, patients with COPD, and those with weakness due to acute disease.
