How you make a difference

The RN Travel supports patient care delivery through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under the supervision of Charge Nurses. This role involves administering medications, assisting in diagnostic tests, documenting care, and supporting surgical procedures as needed. The nurse ensures compliance with safety protocols, medication handling, and clinical documentation standards. They participate in care planning, emergency response, and interdisciplinary communication. The role requires 100% travel to various locations to fulfill staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver patient care and treatment plans under supervision of Charge Nurse
Administer medications, perform EKGs, and assist with procedures
Maintain accurate documentation in SOAP format and review medical records
Respond to emergencies and ensure safety and infection control protocols
Travel full-time to different healthcare facilities as staffing needs require

Qualifications & Requirements

EDUCATION

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

EXPERIENCE

One (1) or more years clinic experience preferred
Must be willing and able to travel 100% of the time

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the states of practice and the state in which you work, or a valid compact state nurse license
Current CPR certification

Submit accurate, complete, timely, meaningful, and required documentation, including progress and clinical notes. Participate in case conferences with other clinicians by reviewing services, clinical documentation, and discussing pertinent patient care issues and goals. Qualifications: Strong home health knowledge, and recent experience (2 years+) working in the home health industry. In-depth understanding of Medicare Conditions of Participation and payment mechanisms for home health. Strong organizational, planning, problem solving, decision-making, and leadership skills required. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with people who have varied background. Ability to direct and manage a multi-disciplinary team of home health care clinicians, both professional and para-professional. Proof of current CPR certification and valid Driver’s license. Requirements: Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of recent home health experience. Knowledge of HCHB is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred but not required.
