Essential Functions of the Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor are, but are not limited to:

Promotes regulatory compliance through demonstrating working knowledge of long-term care regulations, participating in efforts towards consistent survey readiness, and assisting with completing the plan of correction.
Assists the nursing team in providing resident care when professional nursing skills/judgment are needed.
Continually supervises and evaluates resident care throughout the shift
Ensures any staffing changes are in alignment with the budgeted staffing plan. Address any staffing concerns as they arise
Identify learning needs of staff and participate in educational opportunities in collaboration with the Staff Development Coordinator and nursing leaders.
Provide mentoring and coaching to staff when needed.
Round on each nursing unit and respond to issues as needed/requested.
Demonstrate effective communication skills and positive service excellence behaviors when dealing with all customers.
Responsible for interacting directly with residents’ families to answer their questions and ease their concerns.
Ensures and/or assists with transcribing all doctor orders timely and accurately.
Oversees and/or assists with administering IVs and other medications.
Assists with or completes the admissions/discharges of the residents.
Ensure the safety of residents, customers, and the facility through awareness of and conscientious application of policies and procedures and emergency responses.

Qualifications for the Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor:

2-3 years of previous Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor experience
Current Delaware RN license
Knowledge of the Point Click Care (PCC) nursing documentation program is preferred
