Job responsibilities for LPNs include and are not limited to:
Assisting CNAs in performing ADL and routine care. 

  • Conducting resident/patient treatments.  

  • Administering medication in accordance with physician orders and Plan of Care.

  •  Submitting pharmacy  orders. 

  • Accurately documenting and recording all information. 

  • Giving injections of medication as  prescribed. 

  • Observing resident health to communicate current condition to RNs, Supervisors, and  Physicians. 

  • Taking vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature and weight.

  • Basic  care, including wound cleaning and bandaging.

  • Managing IVs, starting IV drips. 

  • Monitoring fluid/food  intake and output. 

  • Observing and reporting resident accidents, incidents and the presence of skin  breakdowns. 

  • Assisting as directed in the admissions process.

Position Summary: Assist physician with duties necessary to support the needs of the practice working within and to the maximum scope of license Education, License & Cert: LPN ‐ Must be licensed in the state of practice. Experience: One‐year experience in healthcare field preferred but not required Essential Functions: 1. Directs patient to exam room and prepares patient for exam or treatment by identifying height, weight, respirations, blood pressure, temperature, additional testing, and records same on chart. Will also interview patient to obtain history allergies, reconciles medication list and records on chart as requested. 2. Write or call Rx after obtaining surgeon/provider authorization for all department surgeons/providers as needed. Chart as written in patient’s chart 3. Email, fax or call in any insurance referrals. Follow up phone call with referral number to specialist if requested. 4. Assists in smooth departmental operation by filling in for other LPNs, clinical assistant and MOA’s as requested. Answers telephone and performs other clerical functions as necessary (screen calls according to urgency and need).
