Registered Nurse (RN), On Call 7 On 7 Off Hospice

  • Salary Range: $75,000–$90,000
  • Full-Time | On-Call Overnights & Weekends | 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
  • Serving Wichita, KS and Surrounding Communities

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is seeking an experienced and compassionate On-Call Registered Nurse to support our Wichita hospice team. This role is essential to delivering timely, skilled, and meaningful end-of-life care in patients’ homes—exactly when they and their families need it most. What You’ll Do

  • Respond to the immediate care needs of hospice patients and families during nights and weekends
  • Complete routine and as-needed visits in home settings across the Overland Park region
  • Triage urgent situations and collaborate with hospice physicians to provide comfort and symptom management
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary hospice team, community partners, and family caregivers
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold all regulatory and agency standards
  • Deliver professional, compassionate, patient-centered hospice care
  • Participate in ongoing training, education, and quality initiatives

What You Bring

  • Kansas RN License or Compact License
  • Hospice nursing experience preferred (Overland Park hospice experience a plus)
  • Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently in home settings
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • High-level organization, time management, and emotional resilience
