The Night Registered Nurse in the ED provides direct patient care for individuals experiencing acute medical conditions. This role ensures the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment. The responsibilities will be to triage, assess and care for patients overnight. Administer medications, treatments and emergency interventions according to hospital policy. The nurse will have to collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams as well as other nurses. They must document patient care accurately and efficiently in electronic health records. The nurse is also responsible for the education of patients and families about diagnoses, along with procedures. The support of patient flow through the department through timely admissions, discharges, and transfers.
