Primary Patient Population

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

Primary Skills Utilized/learned

Neurological assessments
Adaptive ADLs; Patient Safety/Reorientation Methods
Transfer/Mobility training
Vital signs, IVs, Foley Catheter insertion/removal, Wound care, etc.

Personnel Nurse Intern Will Work With

RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers/Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Art & Music Therapy, Dieticians

Required Qualifications

Enrolled in an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
Completed fundamentals of nursing
Currently registered in clinical rotations
Continuous enrollment in a nursing program
Eligibility to continue in the position is a maximum of 6 months upon graduating from nursing school
Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
