Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Phlebotomist, under the direction of a Licensed Practitioner, Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care and assists with activities of daily living and performs skilled and accurate blood collection procedures to a designated group of healthcare consumers. In addition, creates an organized work environment that is conducive to efficient workflow for the clinical staff. Provides services which encompass the spiritual, physiological, social, and psychological aspects of care of the sick, prevention of disease, or conservation of health. The position contributes to the mission and core values of CHI Health. Floats to different departments and units of the hospital depending on need.
