Overview

Under the supervision of Medical Director, Provider or Nurse Supervisor, the LPN utilizes the nursing process to assist in the provision of ambulatory health care services that reflect the ambulatory health care providers' philosophy and standard of ambulatory health and nursing care of assigned patients.


Qualifications

Required education:

  • High School Diploma or GED, and Vocational Training; Graduation from an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program.

 

Required certification and license: 

  • Licensed to practice practical nursing in the state of Florida
  • BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Job Summary Under direct supervision of Registered Nurse, provides nursing care within the scope of licensure for assigned patients according to established nursing standards and hospital policies and procedures. Essential Functions Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse administers medication, performs treatments and patient care responsibilities as prescribed.
