
Cardiac Cath Lab RN (Part-Time)

All nursing practice is based on the legal scope of practice, national and specialty nursing standards, Children's National Policies and Procedures, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Professional Model of Care requires registered professional nurses to be responsible and accountable for their own practice. Children's National supports the development of RN relationships within the community; specifically, those relationships associated with the health and wellbeing of the community at large.
The Cardiac Catheterization Nursing encompasses the care of the patient and family/legal guardian. Pre-sedation, monitoring, and post sedation services are provided to care for a range of ages from infants to adults in collaboration with anesthesiologists and cardiologists. The Cath Lab Nurse cares for the acute and critically ill patient population during cardiac catheterization procedures and electrophysiology procedures.
This a part-time position (24 hours per week, 8-hour shifts from 7am - 3:30pm).
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree from an approved school of nursing (Required)
Minimum Work Experience
2 years In the field of ICU, ED, or area with sedation activities (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
2 years In the field of pediatric cardiology (Preferred)
Excel in organizational skills, adjust for changes and be able to complete assignment on time.
Role model critical thinking skills by problem-solving patient care and unit/system issues
Demonstrate a collegial and respectful relationship with peers, physicians, and other departments.
