What You’ll Do:

    • Administer medications and monitor vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
    • Evaluate medical complaints and concerns from residents, effectively communicating with our Nurse Practitioners and Physicians.
    • Develop and implement treatment plans, providing direct care and nursing services as prescribed.
    • Monitor chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures, ensuring timely interventions.
    • Maintain comprehensive medical records and logs, adhering to all mandated reporting and infection control protocols.
    • Collaborate with Behavioral Care Staff regarding medication management and refills.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, contributing your expertise to enhance patient care.

 


Qualifications

    • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Nursing Degree;
    • Licensure: Current RN licensure with the State Board of Nursing is a must.
    • Experience: Experience in healthcare, especially with teens or young adults, is preferred.
    • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make sound judgment calls in high-pressure scenarios.
    • Team Player: A positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork, fostering a collaborative environment.
    • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Pay range for this position is $39 to $59 depending on education and experience.

Uses health assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis. 6. Develops a care plan that establishes goals, based on nursing diagnosis and incorporates palliative nursing actions. Includes the patient and the family in the planning process. 7. Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician in the physician’s plan of care. 8. Counsels the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs. 9. Provides health care instructions to the patient as appropriate per assessment and plan. 10. Assists the patient with the activities of daily living and facilitates the patient’s efforts toward self-sufficiency and optional comfort care. Communication 1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 2. Registered Nurse, with a License in good standing to practice in the state of Virginia. 3. Registered nurses shall have a minimum of (a) one (1) year of experience as a professional nurse within the last three (3) years; OR have a baccalaureate degree in nursing and minimum of two (2) years’ experience, at least one of which is in the area of public health, home care, or hospice nursing is preferred. 4.
