What You’ll Do RN Float is responsible for managing the care of patients experiencing psychiatric/mental health disorders in the adult and youth Partial Hospital Programs, inpatient, and the clinics. Coverage at residential is an option for the RN Float but is not required. The RN Float is responsible to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise nursing care of patients within the area of assignment pursuant to the policies and procedures of PrairieCare. Requires knowledge of nursing practices, which can be gained only through an accredited school of nursing. Oriented and educated in gender, cultural, and age-appropriate care for the assigned unit. Plans and facilitates nursing groups with patients during partial hospital program and inpatient settings. Leads and delegates tasks to Psychiatric Technicians that are within scope of practice in the partial hospital program and inpatient setting. Leads and delegates tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Medical Assistants within scope of practice in clinics.
