Position Summary:

As the Director of Nursing in a SNF setting it is your responsibility to organize, develop, manage, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community.  The Director of Nursing is to work directly with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times.  Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.


Education/Qualification:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work.

  • Must possess a current CPR or BLS certification.

  • Must have a minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a nursing community or other related healthcare community, preferably in long term care.

  • Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
