Education & Experience Requirements:

BSN preferred
Minimum 4 years of RN experience required for Expert level
Master’s degree (MSN or DNP) may substitute for certification requirement (if applicable)

Professional Development & Certification:

Annual completion of a professional contribution aligned with department, hospital, or system goals (approved by Unit Director)
UPMC-approved nursing certification required within 1 year of hire/transfer and must be maintained
Certification requirement waived if holding an MSN or DNP
Must maintain a Solid/Strong/Good or higher on annual performance evaluation
