Position Summary

Asante Ashland, located in Ashland, Oregon. Outpatient services include internal medicine, home health, wound care, and hyperbaric medicine. Founded in 1907, the hospital has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of the community and the changing demands of healthcare.

The RN for Asante Ashland is responsible for delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacting with patients and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. At AACH, the RN delivers superb health care in a compassionate manner, is committed to excellence, and empowered to streamline and improve operations.

Position Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred

Experience

Minimum 1 year of acute care experience is required
Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or Critical Care experience is preferred

Licensure/Certifications

RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start
BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified by American Heart Association (AHA) within 4 months of hire and must be current to triage
PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support certified by American Heart Association (AHA) within 4 months of hire and must be current to triage
TNCC: Trauma Nurse Core Course within 4 months of hire and must be current to triage
TEAM: Trauma Evaluation and Management is acceptable instead of TNCC for subsequent years
NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within 6 months of hire for Critical Outreach RNs

With 9-10 blocks per day, ARRMC performs approximately 10,000 cases per year with a variety of specialties. These specialties include: general/vascular, neurosurgery, total joint/orthopedics, bariatric surgery, trauma, ENT, plastics, urology and cardiothoracic surgery. As a progressive surgical hospital, ARRMC performs robotic urological, gynecological and general surgery - and was one of the first in the state of Oregon to employ the use of the Mazor neurosurgical robot and to perform transcather aortic valve replacement (TAVR). ARRMC also performs Davinci Si and Xi robotic surgeries in general, urology and GYN specialties. As the region's referral center, serving nine counties, ARRMC is also recognized as a top cardiac surgery hospital in the Northwest performing approximately 600 heart cases and 400 lung cases per year. As a level 2 trauma designation, there is a 15-minute response time for standby call. Standby call requirements are defined by the department and may be based on current staffing needs.
