Willis Knighton Health is looking for a medical assistant for a busy general surgery office. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependability, and flexibility in their job duties. Critical thinking and good communication skills are required. They will work with insurance companies with referrals and pre-authorizations. They will assist in scheduling surgery, tests and procedures. They will also work with our scheduling department for X-rays, lab and other procedures as ordered by the physician. The medical assistant will provide pre-op and post-op instructions to our patients, obtain vital signs, patient health information, obtain history and physical information, current medication list at office visits. Hospital and departmental orientation will be provided upon completion of the hiring process, as well as training on our enterprise -wide management system. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5: 00 pm. A competitive salary and benefit packet is offered.
