Department Description

Specialty and Patient Population: 6SE is a 28-bed unit that specializes in acute medical-surgical care for medicine (not primary cardiac diagnosis) and orthopedic patients with bone cancer diagnoses. The unit has a diverse variety of patient diagnoses outside cardiac care and sees quick patient turnover, with length of stay averaging six days.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Provide long and short-term care to medical-surgical patients
Work in a dynamic team environment

Primary Job Responsibilities

Provide acute patient care
Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with team members
Follow evidence-based nursing practices
Monitor and administer medications and IVs

Requirements

One year current/recent med-surg nursing experience
Licensed to work as an RN in the State of Washington
