The Certified Mobile Research Nurse is a Registered Nursing per diem/PRN position for EmVenio. An EmVenio CMRN is responsible for setting appointments within the required visitation window to complete mobile visits for study participants. You’ll work cooperatively with Clinical Project Managers, Coordinators, and site personnel to complete visits and submit accurate source documentation.   

We are looking for CMRNs to visit an Adult population who can perform the following skills during a mobile visit: 

  • Must be willing to travel to Lebanon, CT
  • Phlebotomy
  • Sample collection
  • Visits must be conducted during weekday mornings

Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) 
  • Two (2) years' experience in starting and performing Phlebotomy/Peripheral Blood Draw, IVs, and Subcutaneous Injections (date of last practice within 6 months, preferred) 
  • One (1) year of experience collecting vital signs, ECG, urine samples, and performing urine pregnancy tests 
  • Must have and maintain a current, unrestricted license as a RN in the state(s) of practice 
  • Skilled at collecting accurate, detailed patient records including documentation of medical history and medication charting 
  • Excellent observational, verbal, written communication, and problem-solving skills 
  • Must have and maintain a current CPR certification 
  • Must have and maintain a current TB Test 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing 
  • Licensed driver with good driving record and automobile insurance in accordance with state and/or agency requirements and in good repair 
  • An ability to speak other languages

Responsibilities: • Completes Initial Assessment for patients referred to the outpatient cardiac rehabilitation program • Identifies indications for participation, contraindications for participation and specific monitoring needs and risk factor modification goals for each patient. • Completes patient education/counseling and documents treatment plan, including measureable goals, tailored to the individualized goals/needs of each patient referred to the program. • Evaluates, monitors and documents multiple patients response to exercise therapy prior to, during and after exercise therapy. This ongoing assessment includes blood pressure, heart rate, rate of perceived exertion, telemetry/EKG, and may also include oxygen saturation, daily weight, blood sugar and ventricular assist devices • Reports any significant participant acute conditions (e.g: dysrhythmias, blood pressure, angina symptoms, weight gain) to the supervising physician immediately. Reports ongoing, abnormal trends to physician/provider as needed (ex: elevated blood pressure; abnormally low blood pressure, episodes of hypo/hyperglycemia) via event report. • Initiates ACLS measures and/or emergency care according to hospital policy. • Completes tasks related to patient recruitment, insurance pre-certification, registration, and records management (Scott Care, Epic) as needed. • Keeps current in the field of cardiac rehabilitation through journals, in-services, mock codes, conferences and staff meetings Qualifications Qualifications: Current Connecticut State RN License • Current BLS/ACLS • BSN required; MSN preferred • Previous Cardiac Rehab experience preferred with knowledge of exercise therapy • Previous experience in a cardiovascular clinical area e.g.: Coronary Care, Cardiac Rehab, Congestive Heart Failure-Two years of recent and relevant experience preferred • Meets the skills criteria for Cardiac Rehab Nurse Competencies. • Capable of meeting the physical and emotional demands of the position • Desire to work within a comprehensive health care team We take great care of careers. Staff Nurse-MS7-Per Diem

Under general supervision, assumes 24-hour accountability to plan and provide direct professional nursing care for specified patients throughout the entire episode of service delivery as defined by population and unit.
