Responsibilities

As an LVN/LPN at UTHET, you are expected to be a competent clinician.
You are experienced, knowledgeable, and skilled in Pre- and Post-Cardiology Unit.
You will be responsible for providing technical and human assistance under the direction of licensed personnel to provide care for a defined group of patients to achieve quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Current Texas Licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
Healthcare experience

Promotes and maintain optimal client care under the supervision of an RN. Maintains a safe patient environment. Identifies and communicates significant abnormalities in patients data to case manager and other appropriate home health team members. Administers prescribed medications and treatments as permitted by law. Assesses all medicines a client may be taking to identify possible ineffective drug therapy or adverse reactions, significant side effects, drug allergies, contraindicated medications and reports any problems to the physician. Re-evaluates client’s nursing needs and reports findings to Case Manager. Counsels and instructs the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs. Prepares clinical and progress notes. Submits all documentation in a timely manner in accordance with agency policy. Documentation on patients chart correlates with nursing care plan. Communicates frequently and works closely with other home care team members.
