Required Qualifications

  • Board Certification: Active national board certification as a WHNP, FNP, or similar

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of consecutive clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on chronic and complex women's health conditions including PCOS, Endometriosis, Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's, Metabolic Syndrome, Menopause, Fertility, Postpartum, PMDD, and Obesity

  • Clinical Independence: Proven ability to function as an autonomous provider with strong diagnostic judgment and critical thinking skills

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication, with an emphasis on compassion and clarity

  • Webside Manner: A natural ability to build trust and connection with patients in a virtual setting

  • Evidence-Based Practice: A genuine commitment to delivering care rooted in current clinical research

  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable working across multiple platforms including EMR systems, text expanders, Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and scheduling tools

Inova Anytime Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider Job Responsibilities Provide direct primary medical care Develop differential diagnoses Order laboratory studies Administer and prescribe treatments as appropriate Promote healthy lifestyles by advising patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention Document patient information, both timely and accurately per protocol within EPIC Actively participate in internal quality improvement teams and work with team members to proactively drive improvement initiatives Minimum Qualifications Education: Mastersin Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post masters certificate program for nurse practitioners, OR certificate from an education program that is accredited by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs/Schools, American College of Nurse Midwives, American Association of Colleges of Nursing of the National League for Nursing. For physician Assistants, graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start Licensure: Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner; If Nurse Practitioner: RN Compact License(depending on State of primary residence) AND a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia AND a "Practice Agreement" signed by sponsoring/ supervising physician(s), AND a written "Scope of Practice/Protocol" signed by the supervising physician, AND "Drug Enforcement Administration License" (if prescribing controlled substances) Payor Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services Preferred Qualifications Experience: 2 years of experience in primary care, urgent care, and emergency medicine.
