Get to Know Your Team:

Lovelace Westside Hospital provides care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio Rancho, including a 24-hour emergency department and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical capabilities such as Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), bariatric and orthopedic service lines.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, to include patient care and staff management assigned to the RN in his/her charge.
May serve in the role of Charge Nurse and is accountable for professional practice.
Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Associate’s degree or Diploma of Nursing
Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
HIRING DEPARTMENT MAY ALSO REQUIRE ACLS and or PALS

Preferred Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Two (2) years' experience in the specialty
Two (2) years of general nursing experience.

RNFA activities commonly include: assisting the surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, closure and other intra-operative technical functions under the supervision of a surgeon. Other activities may include certain delegated medical functions that can be assumed by the RN who is qualified to practice as an RNFA. A RN license is required as well as RNFA Certification through the AORN Training/Certification Program Qualifications Job Requirements: Associate’s degree in nursing or Diploma of Nursing and RNFA Certification through AORN.
