Make a Difference When Every Moment Matters
As a PACU Registered Nurse, you play a critical role in a patient's recovery journey. Following surgery, radiology procedures, cardiac catheterization, or other specialized interventions, patients rely on your expertise and vigilance during the crucial transition from anesthesia to recovery.
In the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), no two recoveries are alike. You will closely monitor patients as they awaken from anesthesia, assessing breathing, pain levels, vital signs, oxygen saturation, and surgical sites while responding quickly to any changes in condition. Your clinical judgment, compassionate care, and ability to collaborate with the healthcare team help ensure safe recoveries and positive patient outcomes.
The time spent with each patient may be brief, but the impact you make is lasting.
We're looking for a dedicated nurse who combines clinical excellence with empathy, teamwork, and a commitment to exceptional patient care. If you're passionate about making a difference during some of your patients' most vulnerable moments, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do

- Assess, prioritize, and coordinate patient care, including monitoring lines, tubes, drains, pain management, and patient positioning.
- Continuously monitor patients for complications related to anesthesia or surgery and intervene appropriately.

- Perform post-operative assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Educate patients and families regarding discharge instructions, home care, medications, and recovery expectations.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to emergency situations and perform CPR or other life-saving interventions as needed.
- Promote patient safety and maintain compliance with infection prevention, Joint Commission, and environmental care standards.
- Support efficient patient throughput, continuity of care, and an exceptional patient experience.
- Advocate for patients and families throughout the recovery process.
