We are currently hiring for two Nurse Navigator opportunities supporting Pediatric Oncology and Pediatric Gastroenterology within our growing pediatric specialty programs.

Whether coordinating care plans, educating families, or helping navigate complex healthcare systems, our Nurse Navigators play a critical role in ensuring seamless, patient-centered care for children and their caregivers.
Position Purpose
The Nurse Navigator is responsible for coordinating patient care, providing education and emotional support, and helping pediatric patients and their families navigate the healthcare continuum from referral through treatment and follow-up care. Working closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and community resources, this role ensures patients receive timely, evidence-based, and compassionate care tailored to their unique needs.
This position also supports clinical excellence initiatives, program development, patient education, prevention efforts, and community outreach activities that strengthen pediatric specialty services and improve outcomes for patients and families.

What You’ll Do
Coordinate & Navigate Pediatric Care
- Serve as a key point of contact for pediatric patients and families throughout their care journey
- Coordinate multidisciplinary plans of care alongside providers, specialists, nursing teams, and support services
- Facilitate referrals, diagnostic testing, treatments, follow-up care, and specialty appointments
- Assist with discharge planning, care transitions, and telehealth coordination as needed
- Advocate for patients and families while ensuring strong communication across care teams
Educate & Support Families
- Provide individualized education related to diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, procedures, and ongoing care needs
- Offer emotional support and guidance to patients, caregivers, and families navigating complex medical conditions
- Connect families with internal and community-based resources
- Promote patient and caregiver understanding to support successful care management at home
Improve Clinical Programs & Patient Experience
- Collaborate with leadership and multidisciplinary teams to improve workflows, care coordination, and patient access
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, program development, and evidence-based practice efforts
- Support specialty service educational activities and program evaluations
- Help enhance the experience for both patients and referring providers
Community Outreach & Collaboration
- Partner with outreach and marketing teams to educate referring providers and community partners about pediatric specialty services
- Participate in education, prevention, and awareness initiatives that support the needs of the community

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
Experience
Case management, care coordination, or nurse navigation experience strongly preferred
Pediatric experience is a plus, but not required
Three years of acute care nursing experience preferred, ideally within a related specialty area
Program development or leadership experience preferred
Licensure & Certifications
Current or ability to obtain a State of Nevada Registered Nurse license required at time of hire
Current BLS certification through American Heart Association required at time of hire
ACLS certification may be required depending on specialty area
Technical Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Comfortable utilizing electronic medical records and online systems for communication, education, and documentation
