Position Description:

 

We are seeking an attentive and knowledgeable registered nurse who will assist in ensuring the nursing department provides consistent, attentive, and efficient care to patients and help oversee the overall operations of our AMAZING skilled nursing facility. The ADON will be responsible for assisting with the planning, organizing and implementation of nursing procedures and projects as well as ensuring overall compliance.

 

Responsibilities of an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

 

  • Maintain standards of the nursing homes.

  • Helping to hire, train, teach, and monitor nurses.

  • Ensure smooth operation of the nursing department.

  • Assisting in budget preparation and expense management.

  • Inform management of any staff concerns.

  • Assisting in training and supervising staff members.

  • Inspect patient records.

Requirements of an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

 

  • Active Registered Nurse license

  • Must have up-to-date MMR vaccination & physical

  • Active CPR certification

  • Proven experience as Registered Nurse in SNF

  • Understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting

  • Great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare

  • Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration

  • Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel

  • Great communication and people skills

  • Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
