Wound Care Supervisor (RN/LPN)

Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Wound Care Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team in Memphis, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and treating complex wounds in a skilled nursing environment, providing high-quality patient care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal healing outcomes.
Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in TN.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in wound care or a related field.
- Certification in Wound Care (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent) required
- Strong knowledge of wound care products, dressing materials, and advanced wound healing techniques.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, and other complex skin conditions.
- Develop individualized wound care plans, in collaboration with the healthcare team, and implement evidence-based treatment protocols.
- Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, debridement, and other procedures as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on proper wound care and prevention strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, keeping the team informed of any changes or concerns.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Stay updated on current wound care practices, techniques, and equipment.
