Your Role as Director of Nursing

As a key member of the Sunrise leadership team, you will oversee nursing operations and support the facility’s mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care.

Responsibilities Include:

Leading, mentoring, and supporting nursing staff
Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
Managing patient records and maintaining confidentiality standards
Collaborating with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Assisting with care planning and resident assessments
Developing and implementing quality assurance and risk management programs
Training and onboarding nursing staff while supporting ongoing education
Conducting daily rounds and monitoring quality of care and staff performance
Supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives
Promoting a positive, patient-centered culture throughout the facility

Who We’re Looking For:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Previous nursing leadership experience preferred, especially in long-term care or skilled nursing
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and clinical best practices
Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented leadership style
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Passion for delivering genuine hometown care and supporting staff development
